y'see, here's the thing. i COULD make you a cd with an hour of good music, or you could have ALL of these albums with A MILLION hours of good music. a million is better than one.

i bought the church's greatest hits cd today on a gift certificate, and now i'm having second thoughts on bringing my discman. eep.

i need to sleep and then think about it in sobriety. but i do maintain that there's something honest about the sounds life makes for you as opposed to the ones you make for life. you know?

oh will you SHUT IT. music is vital. end of story. i'll listen to the birds and the dingoes when i'm outside. when i'm making dinner, and doing homework, i'm going to listen to radiohead and not the authentic sizzling sounds of my bad cooking skills in another country.

so THERE. :P

first of all, take everything dan's said and throw it out the window. except for a couple vitals. you Definitely don't need brian eno to show you some ghosts in australia. though loveless is necessary.

i'll assume you're already a well immersed fan, but if not i see no point in leaving without Siamese Dream, or Melloncollie and the Infinite Sadness.

any pavement albums you can get your hands on.

and Bleach.

following these guidelines, you will be well scored.
