I have survived Black Friday!
I (and the Amanda) have survived Black Friday! Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, and Hot Topic were all reasonably mellow; crowded, but polite, and full of cheery people who seemed to have realized that if they embraced their inner negativity, they'd be ripped apart and devoured by the ravening hordes. Going into the Disney Store, however, was a major mistake, and you couldn't have gotten me near a Toys R Us for either love or money. And I have finally found jeans that don't have issues with the fact that I am the Girl With No Ass! Old Navy straight-cut jeans rule. I shall be buying some the next time I need jeans.
At the end of the day, however, my assorted fleece pullovers and velor hoodies were eclipsed by the wonder and the glory of what I found at Hot Topic, land of Things That Are Awesome. Are you ready? Are you ready for the awesome?
Camo. Underwear.
Yes! The awesome, she is totally, totally with me, in every possible sense of the word. I made squealy noises that were audible above the crowd, enough so that the assistant manager actually came over and made sure we knew they were on sale. So. Awesome. Awesome, and invisible in a standard urban environment! Rock on, my life.
Amanda is capable of taking longer in a dressing room than any other single living human being I have ever met. It's pretty impressive, really, especially given that while I'll happily spend a million years in 'browse' mode, once I find what I'm looking for, I try it on, say yea or nay, take it off, and move on, all at something close to Warp Three. We had a nifty, mellow day, full of nifty, mellow things, and when I have money, I am fully going back to Forever 21 for the orange, green, and pink tiered skirt.
And that is all.
