Productivity Girl rides again!

I am Productivity Girl! See me ride!

Last night, the ever-lovely and loving Cat picked me up from the comic book store (where the new 'Ultimates' TPB had come in, as well as the TPB of 'Containment', which is...brrrrrrrr), drove me to my meeting, and then went out with me for a leisurely dinner at Baja Fresh, followed by a leisurely stroll through the Halloween superstore, and frozen yogurt at the Yogurt Park in Broadway Plaza. This year's Halloween costumes include a wide range, from 'pirate wench with her boobs hanging out', all the way through 'Hooksy the Sluttiest Little Elf'. With, of course, the usual assortment of cheap velvet 'medieval' gear, horror movie hostesses, and serial killers. I was somewhat impressed by the tortured fairy tale characters -- especially Alice in Terrorland, who had great arterial spray going on down the front of her apron -- but not enough to buy anything.

Accomplishment #1: Obtained food. Did not go all Night of the Living Dead on any of the people in my path. Although I did eat like, half the salsa bar as a topping on my salad.

Accomplishment #2: While wandering through Broadway Plaza eating yogurt, found the first season of Mythbusters on DVD. Yoink! That would be mine now, thank you awfully much. Yay for deconstruction of the collective American non-supernatural folklore! And explosions!

Satiated, we returned to the house, where Cat tossed my bedroom for my cellphone while I started cooking for today's drive to Seattle. And, being a wonderful and amazing Cat, she found it. All hail Cat! She then helped me cook, talked to me while I packed for Seattle, and eventually wandered off home. I have rockin' friends.

Accomplishment #3: I have a cellphone again!

Accomplishment #4: I am packed and ready to go, with clean clothes, toiletries, my laptop, earplugs, my Mythbusters DVDs, a reasonable assortment of CDs for the trip, my cellphone charger, and several warm sweaters, since Seattle is quite cold this time of year.

Accomplishment #5: Food for the trip has been prepared! I have zucchini saute, baked asparagus, steamed baby artichokes, sauteed mushrooms, and a whole bunch of little single-serving snacks. I win at food.

Life is good.
