Playing DDR in a miniskirt is not only fun for the whole family, it attracts large crowds of teenage boys who applaud every time you finish a song, even when you only get a 'C' on the Captain Jack Gransville Remix. Plus, you inexplicably get to use the good machine, because again, DDR in a miniskirt. They want you to keep bouncing up and down, please. They'll even pay.
Orange-and-green nail polish goes with or compliments a disturbing percentage of my wardrobe. Right now, for example, I am wearing the aforementioned miniskirt, which is black, with white nylons, and a very flattering wrap shirt in a swirly black, white, and orange (two shades) pattern. And it looks good. I had a trucker try to pick me up on the way back from the Safeway, which is always entertaining. I feel very pretty today.
We're having dinner at Moonstar tonight, followed by karaoke (and alcohol) at The Mint, which has officially become my absolute favourite karaoke bar. I am thrilled by this fact, and practically vibrating with the anxious need to get up and go-go-go. Food, fun, friends, and my Meredith, actually in town and with me -- what could be better?
Life rocks.
Still sitting on my exercise ball here at work, which is splendid; I've managed not to give in and switch back to my chair once today, and my back feels all the better for it. I need to roll over and enlongate my spine before we walk to dinner, but dude, I am more than capable of rolling around on a giant rubber ball. It makes me happy.
Today has rocked. Today has rocked hard and steady.
Can't talk. Too busy rocking.
