Your devotion to your friends and willingness to go out of your way to explain complex concepts to anyone who asks 'why?' makes you a wonderful human being, and a better friend.
Wow. I met you by accident, through stakebait, and I am endlessly glad that I have; your wit, inventiveness, affectionate acceptance and understanding hugs can improve any day, and comments from you are almost always just far enough to the left of my own way of thinking to really make me pause and consider. It's wonderful.

Thank you. That's particularly heartening because it's saying I'm succeeding at a couple of specific virtues that I really want to succeed at.

Just as in off in left-field. I'm actually extremely leftist myself, for an American (same conundrum as above), and thus unlikely to say that anyone who doesn't think we should all be living naked and free in the waters of the Atlantic like our Atlantean ancestors is particularly to the left of me. Personally, if you want to do that, huzzah, but please waterproof any books you may have on loan from me before you dive.
Your way with words is concise and enthralling; your contributions to any conversation are delightful and well-thought-out. You can brighten almost any discussion, just by stepping into it. Much rockage.
I really, really didn't think we'd get along. Imagine my surprise and delight when not only did we actually mesh, you proved to be entertaining, intelligent, fascinating to talk to and a wonderful source for a contrasting viewpoint when I needed one. I love actually getting time with you, because it always leaves me thinking something new. Wonderful.
