First BayCon meeting.
So today is the first BayCon meeting of the 2002-2003 season -- the June meeting was actually the kick-off, but it wasn't all official and tainted with the knowledge of my own responsibility.
I've been up since half-past seven, despite getting to bed somewhere around midnight; I've bathed and dressed and written out an agenda. Largely due to my being as nervous as I am, it's a serious blonde hottie day: I never look this good unless work is sending me out of state. I've got on my long black skirt, pink and purple tank-top with the black zip-top over it, and my normal shoes. I've bunned and bobby-pinned my hair, and I actually cleared the crap off my lumpy lamp to get at my gold-and-glass monocle. I look, in short, like the most expensive fat chick this side of the Mississippi.
(It's odd what makes us feel good. I have to Chair a meeting, but dammit, I'll look like a professional hottie doing it.)
This is going to be a really good year, I can feel it. The staff is great, the people are kick-ass, and I love our theme. I'm thinking of starting a BayCon community here on LJ, because I know a lot of our staff is around. But not today.
Today, I'm going to jump high, cheer loud and look pretty.
