Three vast blue cats prowled through the darkened hallway. Two walked without a sound, the tufts between their toes muffling the impact of their feet. The third clacked softly as she walked, her claws tap, tap, tapping on the hardwood.
"Mrrr," said the first cat, which, translated, meant "The monkey is packing its suitcases again. It intends to leave us."
The youngest cat swished his impressive tail, looking alarmed. "Chrp?" he said, which, translated, meant, "Are you sure? Maybe the monkey just wants to make more room in the sleeping place. It does that sometimes."
"Mrrrrr," said the first cat. Translated, it meant, "It packed the strange plush toy we're not allowed to chew on."
Now all three cats looked distressed. The oldest flattened her whiskers. "Mow." Translation: "Who will feed us? Who will I lick?"
The largest of the three looked toward the door to the sleeping place, where the monkey lay sleeping. "Mah," she proclaimed. Translation: "We must all sit upon the monkey's chest. Then it will never leave us again."
Plan established, the three cats stalked toward the room where the monkey slept, unaware and dreaming of Disney World.
