Lazy morning, weekend plans.

Got up, went into the spare room to find Nyssa pestering Chris into petting her (which meant he was awake, too) and watched some NCIS before going to breakfast. This also let me get some more inking done. I have one new strip finished but not scanned, and one new strip almost done. This is in addition to the four or so I have in various stages of penciling -- being sick makes inking very difficult, but sadly doesn't stop me from drawing stuff. I'll be inking and scanning as time comes free.

After breakfast, we went up to my mother's house so I could play with my little sister's twelve-day-old kittens. OMG KITTENS. They're at that size where they basically exist solely to be adorable, and it took a lot of willpower not to agree to take two of them home with me at the end of the weaning period. But there's this little solid gray girl who's just...the cute burns. THE CUTE BURNS.

Now I'm processing edits while Chris showers, prior to heading into the South Bay for our friend Anna's big comic book store party. BIG AMERICAN DANCE PARTY! It's going to be fun, and I'm totally going to try to secure counter space so I can ink, on the theory that when we're partying in a comic book store, I should be allowed to create comics. It's a thing.

Tomorrow is the Red Roses and Dead Things cover picture photo shoot. Chris will be driving Cat and I out to Alameda, where we'll be spending the morning recreating classic pin-ups with me in a corset, short skirt, and labcoat. I have a wide variety of exciting accessories to help with the process, and it's gonna be a blast. When we're done, we'll be sending the ten best shots to Bill Mudron, and he'll use one of them as the basis for the album's cover art. So exciting! And such a huge step forward! I'm really jazzed, and tomorrow's going to be super-fun.

Hope you're all having a weekend as good as mine!
