Dead for tax purposes.

Today, I am dead.

I don't know why this should be. I had a pleasant, nutritious dinner, then went and soaked in very hot water at the Pleasant Hill Hot Tubs, before going to bed (on time). I slept deeply and with minimal interruption, covered in cats, wearing one of my favorite sleep shirts (the 'Spooky Island' promo shirt for Scooby-Doo 2). And yet today, I feel as if I have been hit, repeatedly and with malicious aforethought, by a large moving vehicle of some indeterminate type.

And no, I didn't get the license plate. I am a failure at raw exhaustion. On the plus side, I remembered to put on all my clothes before leaving the house, which means I'm at least non-naked raw exhaustion. I do the world this tiny favor, because I love you all.

I have a big bag full of envelopes (from the art auction) and mailing sleeves (for CD fulfillment). After this batch has gone to the post office, there will be no pending domestic CD orders*, and all but three** of my art auction items will be out of my house forever. Yippee!!!

After roughing out the next several 'With Friends Like These...' strips, I find that I have only two blank sheets of comic paper remaining. The grand experiment approaches an end. Now I need to give serious thought to whether or not to buy another packet.

This is gonna be a long day.

(*There is one Australian order pending, but after the trouble we've had with Customs, I want to take this one to the Concord Post Office Saturday morning, so I can speak to their International Shipping guy. Hopefully, he can show me how to expedite International shipping in the future, so this never, ever happens again.)

(**Of the three remaining, one hasn't been paid for, one has no mailing address, and one is pending on yet another oddly-sized envelope. I have got to standardize my paper sizes.)

cds, errands, sleep, art
