* Luis Garcia recorded his drum line for 'Evil Laugh' this past weekend; we'll be recording the rest of the track this January, at Monkey Brains, along with the flute line for 'Still Catch the Tide'. This will complete our Seattle recording.
* I have a recording date tonight at Flowinglass, to record the lead vocal line for 'Downhome Aphrodite'. This will be my last recording date with Kristoph; there's going to be at least one more recording date, to get the flute line for 'In This Sea' (Alisa) and the backing vocals for 'Downhome Aphrodite' (Saber), but after that, we're done with the San Leandro recording. This is sort of terrifying unto me.
* I have two songs currently out to have additional pieces recorded, not counting the songs described above; once those are done, I'll be able to check off almost everything pending on the main list.
* Almost all pending PLDG orders were packaged for shipping last night, and will go into the mail today. I'm really sorry about the delay; things have just been hellish here, and I was entirely out of envelopes. The remaining orders will be packaged tonight and shipped tomorrow. Again, I am hugely sorry for this delay, and it shouldn't happen again.
* Pre-orders for 'Stars Fall Home' will open on January 1st, and will have three distinct price points -- $15 for the CD, $20 for the CD plus a randomly selected sampler disk (which will include some rough mixes from the album, plus some scratch tracks of otherwise unreleased songs; exact makeup/ratio to be determined), and $25 for the CD plus two randomly selected sampler disks. There may be a fourth level, which is 'send whatever you feel like sending, and it'll be put straight towards mixing costs', but that has yet to be determined.
* Whatever the level, SFH pre-orders will be open only to North America and Hawaii at the present time. If there's enough interest in International pre-orders -- which will cost more, due to postage -- we can reconsider this.
* Again, whatever the case, all levels of pre-order, International and domestic, will be limited to a total of 250. It takes approximately 150 pre-orders to pay for duplication and postage; the proceeds from any remaining pre-orders will be put directly towards mixing and studio costs.
And for now, that is all.
Now we must rinse.
