It was a red Christmas.
It had started as a white one, snow glistening in the streets, until Drusilla thought to go 'caroling'. For her, 'caroling' consisted of knocking on random doors, smiling coquettishly, singing some sweet snatch of song, and then asking to come inside for the warmth of their fire. And then, once she was inside, they would sing for her.
Spike followed her from house to house, laughing at her delight, and the fussy way she washed the blood from her hands between stops. "Must stay neat for Father Christmas," she said.
Together, they decked the halls.
