Yesterday, I...
...got bored.
...had access to the kitchen.
...had no one to tell me 'no'.
As a consequence of these things, today I have eighty-three (yes, I counted) freshly baked *-chip cookies. (In this case, '*-chip' stands for 'I used two bags of those wacky mint and semi-sweet chocolate swirl chips that they've been selling lately, 'cause I thought they looked cool, and mixed in a bag of white chocolate chips that's been taking up space in my kitchen, just because I could. These are highly chippy cookies, but there's no single 'X-chip' description that really covers them.)
It's been a while since I baked. The act of baking soothes me, but it also leaves me, as a general rule, with absolutely no desire to consume any of the things I've made. Been there, baked that. So I really only tend to bake when I'm absotively, posilutely sure that I can somehow dispose of the fruits of my labours, via a method that does not engage my mouth or digestive system in any way. All hail the time-honoured gambit of 'baking an assload of cookies and then taking them to work with you'! Yaaaaaaaaaay!
I do not expect this tray of cookies to make it to noon.
This pleases me.
