If you were going to show an episode of Firefly specifically to talk about race, which one would you choose?

I'm leaning towards "Objects in Space" because of the Operative, but I don't know if it's the best one to use.

I am definitely still looking for undergrad-friendly pieces on the following topics:

• activism/political change (including "how to")
• the ways in which individuals construct and reconstruct racial categories and systems
• sexuality/gender & race
• race & criminal justice
• race & employment

Academic articles are good (if not TOO dense), but I also welcome well- ( Read more... )

So I'm writing my syllabus for "How Race & Ethnicity Shape American Social Life," and I'm doing a day on the internet. I have plenty of stuff to SAY about race in MMO(RPG)s, but no articles. Can anyone refer me to anything, scholarly or otherwise?
