I have to write a conclusion for an essay, then revise the whole thing. So I'm going to use this LJ post as a warm-up for writing.
Three philosophy courses in a semester was harder than I thought! I found out I write a lot worse than I'd like to, but a lot better than I used to. I can also read deeper into things, in particular thanks to the brilliant classmates I have. They are really sharp in Metaphysics, but I prefer Contemporary Analytic, because the material is more systematic and less looking at a problem from every angle.
I'm really glad I didn't major in Philosophy, because it would have consumed every part of my life. That said, living in a cabin and distant-learning my minor into a BA is an option if I become dissatisfied with my life in my 30s.
Cooking with the radio is a staple for me in the mornings (or noontime on weekends). Today I made crêpes - I found a recipe online, half-memorized it, then ended up eyeballing most of the ingredients and getting good results. Cooking is becoming more and more of an art for me - recipes are like instructions on how to get a particular shade of colour, and I have to mix the paints my way to get what I want.
Crêpes were cooked plain, eaten with sour cream and feta cheese, then the last two with honey. Best late breakfast ever.
The radio had some show praising Winnipeg on. I listened to it, while nostalging for hitch-hiking. Maybe I'm burnt out from school, but I need some crazy adventures.
