Blow me.

I woke up late today, and in an effort to get to work on time, opted to go home during lunch to pick up my uniform for tonight's 4P's shift. Get all the way to Cleveland Park, and realize I left my keys at work. Gah! My ass is out of here asap, I'll be booking home to fling off my clothes (and put more on, of course) then running across the street. Thank god I live where I do.

In other news, I'm still un-watched on premiere week's episodes, except for Dexter 2.1, which indicates the show's heading off in a completely different direction from the books. I'm okay with this.

I finally finished The Last King of Scotland, and I'm slowly making my way through North and South. So far, I'm finding it a cross between Dickens and Austen-bleak like Dickens, yet still soap-opery like Austen. And at least the plot outline on the back of the book spoiled me in the way of that wiki entry, so I don't need to beat myself up about that one anymore.

Darts: My Wed night team jumped into first after last week's slaughter (I won all of my games, yay!), and we're playing the second place team tomorrow night. I'm shooting part-time in Charles County so B doesn't have to drive me into the city every week; I refuse to take a late-night Branch Ave train home after witnessing four kids jump a fifth about 2 feet from me. No, I didn't post about it, but I did start one. It was not fun, and I ran off the train to frantically find a cab to take me back into the city. In fact, it was scary as shit.

I just need to shoot enough to qualify for the playoffs, and this will work better to keep me on track with my other priorities.

Oh god, there's so much work to do.
