The Great ProsWatch - Fugitive

Sep 28, 2008 20:54

Ah, Fugitive - a Bodie story... right?

Oh, what a hotel room - yerch! Bad bad news for the bloke who... oh, who's about to be thrown out a window... eep... But we did get to listen to the funky music on the radio again - funny how that's often playing over the years... *g*

Credits! That was fast!

Ah, and Bodie's first up, looking tough...

...and sitting next to Doyle *g* Doyle makes a bad-taste joke about the dead bloke, then a snappy come-back to Bodie and that makes Bodie smile... *g*

Ah, and Agent 6.7 - Julie. Doyle gets another dig in... Oh, the lads are looking lovely...

Cowley gives them some props and yeay, Doyle has one of my favourite books - "End of Term" (Antonia Forest). Bodie notes that Doyle "always was the romantic type" - awwww.

Hee - love that Bodie's got a fine to pay on one of his books! His hair is very short this ep... and he's got his sleeves undone again... *g* So, can we watch them all over again in actual production order?!

Doyle listening very intently when the nasty American woman threatens the nasty German woman...

Bodie's looking slim again... and he does a fab sprint and leap for the bus!

Ah, Werner thingie - I think he's a good villain. There's something about him, you can imagine how he might be charismatic enough that people follow him...

Oh, Doyle's turn to look lovely... *g*

Ack - Bodie loses nasty American woman off the bus and onto the tube...

Doyle's all hair and sunglasses again...

Hee - Bodie out of breath and defensive to Cowley! Awww - "Sorry, sir" he says... he's got his scouse look on there too...

Hee - Bodie teasing Cowley now, and eyeing up his Fruit Pastilles... *g* What d'you reckon, is that Cowley teasing him back, or is he genuinely not seeing the irony?!

Love the way the girl who comes upstairs doesn't move her lips to speak... I'm never quite sure what the point of her is supposed to be! To emphasise the "colourful neighbourhood" Doyle was talking about? How it's so fully of life and gaiety that Christina can easily get away with hiding an arsenal under the floorboards?!

Doyle's switched to his sports-jacket-y look in the last few eps, which suits him actually - all sort of soft... *g* Although the glasses are a bit of a contrast... There he goes, off across the trainlines following Christina - who throws the bag in and runs away. Hee - Doyle just looking impatient - he knows he can catch her, why does she bother running?! Of course she has a gun, which makes him slightly crosser... And he's far better at using it than she is - but then sandals aren't the easiest thing to run in...

A female CI5-er? Red nail polish and cigarettes...

Doyle in a holster, leaning against the wall! Okay, also in trousers and shirt, but... oh, holster-love... *g*

Christina's very cool - I quite like her actually, well, for a murderer...

Oh gosh... Doyle shot... all shadows and gorgeousness...

Hmmn - what does Doyle say to her after she answers his question about the protective wrappings? I must remember to check the Hatstand transcripts...

Ah, the confidence of Werner - and the insecurity of American-girl (why can't I remember her name?), which is most probably justified...

Oh, Bodie looking very smooth in black leather this morning...

Ooh - another Doyle with a book shot! Must remember that one... He's changed too, dark red shirt... Oh wow, I recognise that book! It's an art book! (We used to have a series of them in the art room when I was in school half the world away!)

Finally - the lads together again... Bodie tricks the German terrorist very smoothly - and Doyle steps up quickly... Oh dear, another agent gets it though... Doyle's down to check him before he checks Jack - "Stomach"...

Ha - another dig at students... and Doyle's very bitter about the "junkie" who "flogged her social security number"... The lads are both looking very cold here, very professional... They're not looking at each other...

Cowley pushes them together at least, with an On your bikes, boys...

Hee - Doyle not impressed by Bodie's "Fancy a quick blow... dry?" And very amused at Bobby, who's free...

Now, which of them is it that Slater knows? Doyle, I presume, considering the Cuba Libre/Pink Gin moment... *g* Love that Bodie's amused at it too, even though he started it!

Ha - now, why would Bodie throw in "Queers" to catch Slater's reaction?! Random thought, eh? Oh but wait - look at Doyle's sideways glance at Bodie...

Oh my... I think if I saw Doyle leaning like that against a wall it'd perk up my day too... *g* Oh, but he looks tired... You know, this is the image of him that I imagine in Redemption, where he steps out of the helicopter with the other security guys at the start of the visit... Christina likes his greenfly gag too... *g* Doyle seems to appreciate her intelligence as well... and her look at him as she asks if the "birds and bees interlude" is over? *g*

Oh, Doyle puts some venom into that line as they're in the car - "some slag"... Why do I get the feeling that nothing's right between our lads this ep? They're side-by-side, but they're not together...

Bodie does that fist-blocking thing he does so well, and between them they bring the bad guy in - there's even a little banter - Thanks, I needed that - but there's no warmth there...

Oh, Bodie all suave drinking the gin, and very cool about the switch of contacts...

Eek - Doyle gets to shoot Bodie...

...and Bodie, wearing very very tight trousers, gets to shoot our Doyle... Such lovely blue green eyes... but Werner's been watching - ooh, he's smart too...

I'm never sure why Karen wears a wig that's so much the same colour as her own hair...

Werner back - being all charismatic again... oh, and he doesn't trust Karen enough not to follow and check up on her... Oh, but that tiny shake of Bodie's head when Werner asks if he knows what happened to "the man you shot"... a crack in that coldness?

And Doyle! A crack there too - he looks so thoughtful walking down the coridor...

...and he's angry - doesn't want the men they're pouring in to "blow it", he says... it's Bodie undercover...

Bodie all stoic as he's dragged around...

Oh, Doyle all controlled anger as he walks down the corridor with Cowley... and Cowley tells him that he fucked up, too... Oh, he's very good at putting doubt into Christina's head about Werner's feelings for her... Maybe the flame hasn't been put out...

The wreath scene... Doyle back to being all cool and professional sounding - he's focussed on that card though - and then he asks "What about Bodie?"... oh, and he stills when Cowley says "We use the wreath", just infinitessimally, but it's there...

Bodie in the van, all battered - not as impressed by them as the radio operator would like him to be though - "How brave"

Oh, and Doyle all cool and sunglassed again - see the cold patience to Christina in the car - "We don't smoke..."

Doyle - "They hold all the aces." Bodie? We don't see him through the Werner/Cowley exchange until the very end - and then he's very cold-looking again... though he tells Cowley confidently that Bodie will be "up to it"...

Oh, gunfight! Bodie runs, and as soon as Doyle sees what he's doing he's away after him - oh, and the chase, and the tackle, and the pulling off of the explosives... ohhhh...

And then that ever-so poignant ending, with Cowley just holding the dying Christina... No hope for her, everything is chaos...

I'm never sure about this one - whether I like it or not. The lads aren't together much, and when they are there's something so badly wrong that it just tugs at my little slashy heart!

On the bright side - it look me under an hour to get the pics up, usually it's nearer three - wheeee! *vbg*

And goodnight! *g*

great pros watch
