miss_marisa and I were wed on a very rainy day in Portland. At the time I thought this was a good omen. I learned today that the Italians agree. For them, a wet wedding foretells promise. The proverb says a "wet bride is a lucky bride".

A long-time friend emailed me today about the importance of "the Big Picture." What she was talking about was how important our friends and family are and why in the end nothing really can be as important.
