Sniffly, but otherwise fine

I have a remnant of the cold, so taking it easy on a Saturday.

Looking over 2012 pictures before the landscaping. We had quite a variety of trees and plants and we decimated the lot. Part of me regrets it, yet it was too much. If I could have preserved some of it I would have liked that.

However, we chose to basically start over. In fact we have started over twice: first to strip the lot of most of the plants, the chain link fence and the car port, then to strip off the bad drainage solution by the landscaper.

I am still working on the latter, but getting there.

The contractor who wants to put in our driveway says we can make it happen by constructing a single approach for both House 60 and House 70. So soon Byron Hill will be no more and the front yard grading and land contouring will be complete sometime this year!

Next: the gate, the fence, the library/garbage deposit, lighting...and of course gardening the path/French drain.

This morning I woke from a dream where I saw this older guy dressed in white take a food wrapper, lean down into the front yard by the sidewalk, and stuff the wrapper into the leaves and plant debris.

So I decided this morning that the library I have planned for that same location will also have a trash receptacle. Whether people will use it, I don't know. My hope is that they will do that. Otherwise I will pick up their trash and use the receptacle myself.

We have our ceramic house humbers and frame. I will back the numbers with a wood panel and add side pieces to keep the ceramic pieces secure.
