* created a calendar item at work for weekdays noon-1: lunch and walk.
* at noon heated up my entrée and ate it.
* used 15 minutes of the hour to finish emails.
* walked the 2 miles because it was not raining.
> first mile was fine, but after that was definitely winded and sweating.
> don't like the cars, but observing the trees, bushes and grass along the way helped.
> didn't like that I would have to see others along the way. Will have to get used to that.
> did like the fact that during the walk did not have to hear much conversation (there was only a little: when I ended up walking along the edge of the parking lot and two folks getting back from lunch were talking "packages").
> there is a nice point where I can cut the walk short or sit under a tree and have lunch.
> last mile was less aware of surroundings, just moved ahead until finished.
> legs felt rubbery by end.
> the 2 miles took 20 minutes.
> 20 minutes after returning still cooling off.
> might benefit from a bottle of water to drink after I get back.
> if am going to meet others I should bring a clean shirt to exchange and wash after cool-off.
* any stress I had before I left is completely gone.
* this should really work if I can stick to the plan!
