Last Day before resuming Work
Today is the last day of my "vacation" before resuming work.
Last night I did one thing:
[x] rinse soaked dishes and put in dishwasher
Didn't do anything else because I needed to keep the sink open to make macaroni and cheese (need to strain the macaroni and fill the pot with water).
So this morning, before I go out...and then this evening...can work on these:
[x] soak bowls
[x] rinse bowls and put in dishwasher
[x] soak cat food cans
[x] rinse cat food cans, collapse and put into recycling
[x] soak dishes and rinse, some dishes into dishwasher, others for next load
However, once I eat breakfast and get dressed, I am back on to finishing the soakage trench.
[x] look for shards and throw in (include smashing concrete piece to remove wires).
[x] add landscape fabric on top of the concrete shards.
[x] add river rock on back lawn to wheel barrow and dump into trench (inaugural load)
[x] between bursts of rain, shovel more river rock into trench.
[x] dump bucket of river rock at closest end.
By 4:30 p.m. I stopped. No way I was going to finish getting all the river rock in and the last time I dumped a load I almost fell into the trench. I am tired and unhappy with dodging the rain.
I have a nice pile of blue, beige, brown, pink and reddish river rocks now. I thought I had green, but those are only seen as green when wet (which, of course, we don't want). I am planning to clean these and then use in the window well floor over landscape fabric after I put in a drain as the center (then white rocks, then the colored rocks, then normal gray river rock, all centered on the green drain under and away from the window well).
