i've been doing this a lot lately but: when i do little drabble memes over at my tumblr, i'm like: "eh, i guess it makes sense to preserve them over on my lj too". it's essentially the same thing as everything else i here, so. i wrote eleven, in total, for the meme which i'm obviously going to split into two or three different posts (probably five/five and then a third post which i'll throw in a few more/new drabbles that i came up with ideas for earlier today.) anyway! they're all au so far (and completely unbeated, sry). here's the hoping they're somewhat enjoyable.
dead bodies

Maybe by the time the clock struck midnight, it’d just be the two of them left - or maybe she’d be left alone, trying to figure out a way to lay his body to proper rest without that knife wielding maniac creeping up on her.
She heaved a sigh as she shifted position against the larger frame at her side, silently grateful that he’d offered to use all the strength he could muster to keep the door close; she already had too much to worry about as it was.
At least now though, if she was going to die, it’d be with someone just as terrified as she was - she grimaced at the thought and he let out an awkward chuckle, as if he’d been able to read every last one of her thoughts.
she is love
tiffany/sunny; high school au
drabble; g; 158 words
Her mother had always told her that she was too young to know what true love really was.
“Sookyu, wait until you graduate from high school, that’s when you’ll really be able to distinguish between reality and your little daydreams.”
Maybe some of her hopes and aspirations were a little overreaching but this wasn’t like that; it had nothing to do with her wanting to be the first woman to do a handstand on the moon or learn how to speak every word in the English dictionary.
It was all about that girl in her math class; the one who’s eyes sparkled brighter than the early morning sunlight, who always smelt of lavender and soap when she scooted past her to get the daily assignment. The girl who never broke eye contact with her and never hesitated to beam that million watt smile in her direction as if she’d just seen the most wondrous of sights - she was in love.
run
jonghyun/taeyeon, apocalypse au
drabble; pg; 143 words
They had collapsed against each other that night, not entirely sure which way was left or right, what was right or wrong or if they were going to make it to see the next dawn.
Everything they’d once known was dead and gone; all the fame, all the fortune, all the fans, all the people that they had once called friends and family - gone.
He’d awoken the previous morning with a dry throat and burning eyes; a question mark on her forehead as she desperately tried to make it better, to make it hurt less.
He’d refused. She couldn’t carry all that weight on her shoulders when she already had enough to bear on her own.
He had to be strong for her and her for him, he’d whispered against her as she curled into him, hoping that was enough to get them through the night.
cemetery party
myungsoo/naeun; addams family au
drabble; pg; 122 words
It was overcast - the sun’s lover creeping through the night sky just enough to draw attention to memories of relatives long past. A young girl bumped against the corner of a crooked headstone - drawing out a breath of air as her company brushed his lips against her nape.
“Mon cher,” she murmured, carding her fingers through his hair as she tilted back to get a better look at him. “Do that again, it feels like my heart is going to burst right out of chest.”
“Is that a promise?” He questioned as he leaned back into her. “I want nothing more than to hold your still beating heart in my hands, cara mia.”
“That’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever said to me.”
somebody call csi!!!!
jieun/zinger; csi au
drabble; g; 186 words
Hana grimaced as she turned a heel away from the disarray at hand - she was discombobulated. “How could someone do something like this?”
“I don’t know, maybe they were in a hurry…,” her partner gave a small shrug as she bent down to grab at the corner of a throughly stomped over jelly donut. You’re contaminating evidence! A voice bellowed at her from the end of the room, causing the girl to jump forward into a fully upright position, eyes widening. “Sorry, sir!”
“… But they ruined totally good donuts,” Hana mumbled as she took a step closer to Jieun, letting out a sigh of frustration in the process. “I just don’t understand. They steal all the money and don’t even try for a few free snacks along the way? Not that I’m condoning robbery or anything, but come on.”
“I guess not all of us think the same way you do,” Jieun replied back with a small smile, raising her hand to pat the top of the Hana's head before turning back toward the scene.
Hana continued to mumble and grumble the rest of the investigation.
