I am just about done with this list, even though there are still 16 titles left on it but they are either hard to find or I basically have no interest in seeking them out, so I am now focusing on The New York Times Guide to the Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made. I am a stickler for lists and I love "Top [insert number here]" film lists. Top 10. Top 100. 1000 Films to See Before You Die. Anything. So I just couldn't resist getting this book when I saw it on the shelf at the bookstore and ever since have been trying to watch all of the films mentioned.

With the impending release of Ocean's Thirteen, the first two films have been airing on television repeatedly. I was actually able to watch Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve simultaneously at one point this weekend. Jezebel - fantastic Bette Davis vehicle. her answer to Gone With the Wind, a film she desperately wanted to star in but didnt get it. and it gave her her first Oscar win. i prefer this over GWTW, being a quick 103 minutes compared to 224 minutes of GWTW, and the b/w photography looks great, crisp and ( Read more... )
