I swear, shopping is ORGASMIC. I came out of Kirkland's today and I felt like a new woman. I should really use that energy on my husband sometimes lol. But I so needed a girl day. And I got just that, starting bright and early at 9:30 this morning. My friend Stephanie and I hit the stores with budgets and lists in hand and joined the thousands of other shoppers at various sales. I found quite a few trinkets, mostly for what wishes I'm granting for
holiday_wishes , and I found a few other goodies as well. My budget went out the door when I spent a lil too much at Big Lots, but hey, I found some cool stuff!!!
JoAnn was having a big sale on their loose scrapbook paper, so I stocked up on that for some baby books I'll be making in the next year. And I found a picture frame on sale at Kirklands and a WAY CUTE reindeer purse. It's got jingle bells and everything! And their ornaments were on sale, so I found a "G" plate ornament for us!
Steph and I got lunch at Main Moon, which I've been craving for a very long time. Mike HATES Chinese, so I don't get it too often. They have the best crab rangoon there and I stuffed myself silly. Our adventure ended at Tinseltown to see "Enchanted" and I LOVED IT!!! You've got to see that movie!! It's so damn cute. Steph wasn't too impressed with it, she said it was cheesy and girlie, but I was just in awe. I'm such a Disney girl, I always will be :)
I love payday, but I hate that both mine and Mike's have been coming on the same week. It was so nice when we had a paycheck every week. It's been HELL getting adjusted to living off the paychecks for two weeks. I'm getting better at stocking up on groceries and budgeting for gas, but lord, I'll be glad when January comes and the pays will be spread out a bit. This wife stuff is HARD!!! lol
I'm fixing rigatoni and garlic bread. MMM it smells so damn good!!!
Hey, does anyone have any CHICKEN recipes?!?!! I'm tired of chicken alfredo and cheesy chicken rice! Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!
Tomorrow we attack the laundry mountain and hopefully put up our Christmas tree! YAY!!
