I'm Ba-ack!!!!

Sep 30, 2005 13:36

I've been incommunicado for quite a while, working through some personal issues and struggling through the month of September, which is always rough for me. September is in its final hours, now, though. And I'm happy to be able to close the month with some excellent news:

I have a job!!!!!!!!!!
Starting Monday, I am a full-time paralegal for ( Read more... )

Thanks sweetie! First item on my agenda will be to pay the fee to restart my cell phone service, so hopefully I'll get to chat with you soon. Of course, if your ex and his hussy don't clean up their acts, I may skip chatting with you in favor of helping you lynch them...

And I double-majored in chemistry and physics for three years. I know how to get rid of a body. :-D

On a happier note, I'm so relieved to hear you're doing better physically, at least. I was terrified we were going to lose you, when you called and told me what had been going on! You don't have permission to check out yet, y'know. *g* *hugs*

Love you hon!
*warm hugs*,
Molly

Thanks Stevie! Just think, now that I'll have a salary, I can afford gas to maybe drive to do lunch with you some weekend. Not that I'm hinting or anything. ;-)

*hugs*,

That'd be great... except that if prices keep climbing, you'll have to get a SECOND job just to pay for gas! ;)

You have the BESTEST icons! =-)

I'm actually thinking of getting a second job for the holiday season, anyway, if I can find one. Having been out of (paying) work for a year, I'm behind on my bills. *wince* Still, even if I do that I'll make sure I have Saturday or Sunday off from both jobs. I have to keep one weekend day open for socializing and vegging, after all...!

No matter how high gas prices may climb, though, you're worth driving to have lunch with. In case nobody has told you, you're a pretty nifty guy. And a wonderful friend, as well. :-)

Ok, now that I've read through the whole thing, how long is it going to take you to finish your bachelor's degree? And when/where will you be doing law school? And as far as salary negotiation, can't help ya, though I wish I could. I'm just now starting to learn the fine art of negotiation myself.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The time required to finish my degree will depend. If I do course overloads to compensate for changing my major, I can get it done in 1 year, flat. If I refuse to give up sleep as a hobby, 1 1/2 years. *g*

For law school, I don't know. I'm still partial to Columbia, because Ruth Bader Ginsburg went there, but I don't know anybody in NYC. Though law students have limited free time, it would be nice to have friends around that I can spend my free time with. So for that reason I'm also looking at Washington and Florida law schools. And Georgia, because I do have friends here too, but that's my last resort -- I'm feeling burnt out on this area, and feeling it's time (or soon will be) for a change of scenery.

You may end up stuck with me as a neighbor yet, m'dear. It just won't be for a year or two, yet, thanks to my getting a job close to home. :-D

Yeah, but just think! If you went to NYC, that'd give *me* a really good excuse to get my a*s up there. Hee hee hee...... :)

Awesome! This is wonderful news!

I was just beginning to worry, and wonder "Oh, where oh where has my Molly gone?"

And here you are! And having jobness! Greatly greatness!

Will you perchance be online tonight?

Probably won't be online tonight; I'm reviewing some of the stuff I know I'll be doing right away, when I start work next week. I want to devote most of tonight to that. But I'll probably welcome a break from that for an hour or two by tomorrow night, if you'll be online then. :-)

*hugs*,
Molly
