I picked up l_stboy Thursday evening, and we went back to the house, picked up Sharon and went to a local German restaurant in the area for dinner. teky4lf knows the one. ;) By the time we had a few beers, good food, and got a desert to go, and headed home to relax some. Painting is going well at the new house. We've gotten just about everything painted, just need to touch up a few spots here and there. Then we're DONE! :) I've gotten all of the blinds we have put up, and we have the rest on order. They should arrive in a couple weeks. We recorded the deed this afternoon, and went down with some things this evening, picked up the keys, and dropped the stuff off. Then we went to look at the fridge/washer/dryer. Looks like the freeway loop down by our new house is going to be opening just after we get down there. ;) Anyone wanna come down and walk on it before it opens. :) Unfortunately its during a weeknight this time, stupid people!

Well, friday morning we went to our "New Home Owner Orientation" or something like that. Basically our walk through where they explain various things, and we look for problems that have to be fixed. The new house is coming along quite nicely. It seems that we'll be having our final walk through on May 12th, then close a few days after that. So we're pretty close to having a new house. :) Today we went and took our normal picture.
