I've been meaning to post for the past couple weeks about everything. I'll try to do a quick summary here, feel free to ask for details if you're interested. I'll see what I can do next week. ;)
We'll go backwards for this... This weekend, Sharon and I are off to Vegas. We're meeting some friends/x-coworkers from UMBC. A year ago, one of them got married in Vegas, so they're doing a "reunion"/anniversary there. I don't think any of them have LJs, so I can't link to them. :) And for anyone who cares and my records...

This week has been interesting at work. Today is my Lead's last day. He will be sorely missed, but its a good move for him. Those two always seem to go hand in hand. :) Yesterday we found out who his replacement will be, and I think he could be a good Lead, but only time will tell. Its going to be a rough next couple months. There were about 4 other people that's last day was today. And our new Lead is being pulled from another team that's loosing a lot of people.
We also found out this week that there are going to be some major re-orging going on, and I'm not sure where that leaves me. But we'll see. I'm on a fuzzy line, so it will be interesting atleast. ;)
Another major work development is that I was approached about becoming a full time IBM Employee. It would happen sometime this summer I think, if it happens. They apparently like to hire into full time people that provide good work, and I seem to meet that criteria. I think I was also on a short list of people they were considering to be my Lead's replacement. I turned it down before it ever got offered, so I don't know for sure if I was being considered. A lot of people seemed to think I was a good canidate, so that's a good sign. But I'm not ready to give up all the technical stuff for management just yet. ;)
Other things in life... We got our bed, which was Sharon's b-day present. Its in pieces in the dinning room floor, and Sharon won't let me put it together. *sigh* We've bottled our Kolsh beer, so that's sitting right now, bottle conditioning.
Our house is coming along nicely. We can no longer go inside it, as it has doors and locks. We also have all the stucko on the outside, and saw the kitchen cabinets inside. We're apparently setup for a mid-May closing. Then we'll have a little work to do before we move in (painting, blinds, etc). As always, you can checking the progress
here.
Also, here are some pictures from a few things we did.
Williams Gateway Airport Open HouseLost Dutchman's State Park, with the dog. :)
Okay, that should do it for now. :)
