Beer Beer Beer Beer...
Beer Beer Beer Beer... come on, sing it with me. ;)
Tonight Sharon and I made our first beer. We shall see how it goes. We forgot to check the specific gravity, but oh well. I guess the important part is how it tastes in the end. :)
We went to a class at a local home brewing store called Brewers Connection this past week, and got a kit. It came with pretty much everything needed to brew our first beer, its called "First Born Pale Ale". It should be interesting. Its currently sitting in the fermentation bucket in our bath tub. I figured it was the best place to keep it a constant cold tempature. I'll probably get a large bucket/barrell/trashcan, etc to put it in it and fill with water. It should help keep the tempature down, and also regulate it.
So in about 3 weeks or so, we should have our first batch of beer. :) Then we'll probably try to make a Wheat beer, as we like those a lot more. ;) Hopefully one of these batches will be good enough to bring to OTP. :) Need to get some bottles and stuff next. :)
Tomorrow is Renn Fest day for us. :) Gonna go take some great pictures and post them so those of you who still haven't decided to come visit can be enticed. ;)
