on the long weekend
my black friday/cyber monday haul was... very small. ha. i ordered a couple of things the wednesday before thanksgiving with ae's 40% off (jeans and a belt for andy) and the beginning of the j.crew 25% off (pajamas for both of us). then i sat out. i didn't even go shopping on friday. well, we went to the mall at about 7pm to pick up some things i was having monogrammed for andy's cousin. exciting! no, not really. honestly, the sales weren't at the places i wanted to buy. i know i had mentioned madewell, but the total requirement turned me off; and, lands end canvas, but i was able to talk myself out of those things. i did get a yummie tummie 30% off yesterday, but overall i was especially disappointed at the "cyber monday" sales. oh well.
i have just a few more gifts to buy. toys/treats for riley, some toms for me, and a little something for my coworker who edits my weekly work blog.
otherwise, having the long weekend was so nice. plenty of time to be lazy and get bored. we watched a lot of tv/movies, went to see the new twilight movie, put away "fall" decorations, put out christmas decorations, slept late, watch several football games (again), and did all the other weekend stuff just with more time in order to accomplish it.
i think we should have long weekends more often.
