This is me rambling about a variety of things plus, there's a Tucker update.
Firefox has gone wonky again. When I click to post to LJ, it brings up the preview so I have to open a window in IE to post. When I open a new tab it won't bring up one of my bookmarked pages. All this happened after I loaded that effing ad blocker plus again. For some reason that completely hoses everything up. I uninstalled it and had to reboot about three times just to be able to click on my bookmarked tabs but from some reason, those have now stopped responding.
I heard a commercial for Easter gifts. Easter gifts? We got candy from the Easter bunny and maybe a dress to wear (when I would actually wear dresses) but Barbies? For Easter? Really?
I like the Susan G. Komen commercials. I do. However, that song they play? I'm sure it's supposed to be "she's a big warrior" but the way the singer draws out the word, it sounds like "she's a big worrier". I don't think that's what they want to convey.
I'm all for new technology but 3-D TV's? I don't get the point. It's okay for movies but sitting in my living room, wearing those stupid glasses? Not buying in to this one.
Read a tweet that basically said people were munching on their dinners. I have this vision of horses at the trough. I hate the word, munching, to describe people eating.
I hate Daylight Savings Time. I hate losing an hour. I hate that they moved it up by about a month. I'll be cranky all day tomorrow.
Best new show you should be watching: Parenthood. Seriously, this is a really great show.
Very bummed to see Lilly Scott exit Idol. She was one of my top three girls. I put it down to a bad song choice. Patsy Cline not really tops with the Idol audience, I'm sure.
Best fic you're probably not reading but should check out:
By Design by Sorsha711. It's Brass/OC but the OC isn't an annoying Mary Sue and all the characters are included. It's a casefile with a serial killer and the writer has definitely done her homework. Check it out.
Tucker is doing very well. He didn't sleep much the first night and because I was worried that he could get to the stitches in his soft e-collar, I woke up every time I heard that thing crinkle. He can't so I've left it on him. I really hate the idea of putting the hard collar on him. It's just way too restrictive. The second day he started to sleep a lot more so I'm thinking he was in a lot of pain that first night and now it's gotten much better. Right now he's curled up inside the carrier. When the vet transported him to the vet hospital, they put him in this big, roomy carrier with a nice, woolly liner. He loves it. Obviously, I need to buy a bigger carrier.
