(no subject)
ok so things havnt been too bad well awk there ok.
AS i was thinking about work it dawned on me that i may not get the promotion but heres the jist:
Orla (origional supervisor)
Claire aka Wiggy (covering for orla whist away)
Jo (my supervisor)
So orla leaves for 5 weeks on holiday and wiggy is supervising in her place. My supervisor jo leaves in september and i was told i would get the supervisor job that she has over the bar ive been on for a year and a half. then it dawned on me when orla comes back wiggy will be demoted and orla reinstated as the supervisor and as my supervisor is leaving wiggy will be the next in line to take the bar that im on (the one that i was promised)
I spoke to her about it all on thursday and she has been thinking along the same lines but either way its going to be bad for one of us. so i asked a manager about it and he basically verified it for me. that wiggy would be more than likely get the bar that was promised to me (insert angry face)
he told me that if i was applying for a managers position anywhere that he would write in my reference that i was a supervisor as i basically do it now anyway. but in the end he told me that i would become a relief supervisor if i didnt get the position.
I told wiggy baout her geting my bar and she wasnt happy about it. we both talked about leaving but i think that was just the heat of the moment.
i asked if i could have more recognition like to serve staff drinks (as only supervisors are allowed to) and he said that hell ask but doesnt see any problem about it.
As jo has been nugging the hell outa me lately i asked to be swithed between the other bars for a bita fresh air. I was downstaires on thursday and having a blast. new faces chating away, started making up shots and naming them after the girls (a Tinileene after christina and Leanne) lol and was having so much fun. At the end of the night just before we finished this woma approaches me and asks my name I tell her and ask her why thinking in the back of my head she was going to complain with me talking to people the whole night and she told me that she writes reviews in magizines of bars and i will be getting an excellent report from her. i was like :O omg thank you. should have asked her which magazine but i was too stunned. mean i had never had anything like that before and when i asked around nobody else had that before. I was smilling from ear to ear. I was so proud of myslf i am so proud of myself. i think its either buzz or fate magazine that would do it and if i find it i will be framing it up. but then when i started thingking other clubs are going to get those magazines and if im mentioned in it then it may be alot easier for me to get a job working elsewhere.
but yea i didnt care about the position after that i was just so happy.
Elaine didnt turn up to work tonight so i supervised. tried not to boss too many people around in the process and hada pretty good night too. wee william the floorstaff was in drunk. so funny. held me at the end of the night begging me not to leave lol. ive such a wee family in there who i adore. were even caling eachother like aunty and uncle (williams my nephew) lol.
so yea alls good in da hood.
Missing patrick but i fly over in two weeks so cant wait for that.
