Casey (eating peanut M&Ms): How do they get the peanuts in there?
PAUSE
Casey: Oh yeah! Duh.

So hey, I've got a video and some pics from yesterday's cheer camp demonstration. It was pretty good. She seemed to have a good time, but neither of us wants to repeat this process of driving all over town and spending so much time with girly girls. Heh.
I think this is a great picture. She thinks it makes her look short and like a little kid. Um, okay.
Team photo
And the video of her team's performance. It's hard to spot her in such a large group of girls (it was a huge camp. These are just the 7th and 8th graders) and she's in the back a lot, but look for the long grey shorts and you can see her sometimes. In the beginning when they are doing the tumbling, she's with the 3 that come from the back and do the roundoff backhandspring. And then later she moves closer to the camera and does another BHS. Also, not sure why my camera didn't like when I focused in... it got all blurry. Whatever.
Here it is.
By the way, she won an award called the Gladiator medal for stunts. Her group did this thing where they held a girl up and she had to balance on her hands as long as possible. Her group did it the longest out of the whole camp. She was laughing and saying she didn't do anything but push the girl up and cheer for her. I told her yeah, it's a team effort, so she was part of it.
We left UCF at a little after 5 and by the time we got through traffic, parked in the garage and walked to the theater in the rain, we were 20 minutes late for the 6 PM Blue Man Group show. But we'd seen it before and the tickets were free, so no huge loss. We still got to see most of the show, and it was fantastic as always.
After that we came home and watched The Wiz. I hadn't seen it in a while and forgot how trippy it was, LOL. But it's a good movie, and Casey liked it too. I didn't get to sleep until almost midnight, and then I got up for work today at 5:45. Bleh.
Work today was pretty decent. For the first time in a while I wasn't assigned to a podium. Instead I spent 2 hours on IDs, and then they had me down for checking bags but I'm still not trained on that. Well, Chris was scheduled as my bag checking partner, so I just let him do all the work and stood there. Hee. That was fun because it wasn't terribly busy, so I had some time to chat with him and Rhonda. Chris is so great... he practically makes me pee, he's so funny. I wonder if he has a girlfriend...
Anyway, we broke yet another check in record today, so they rewarded us by letting us leave 15 minutes early with pay. Woo hoo... so basically my award was $2? Before taxes? And the reward for last week's record check in time is tomorrow's pot luck lunch. "Thanks for all you do, now cook food and bring it in." Gee thanks. It's nice that they are doing something for us, but at this rate they almost shouldn't even bother.
So while I was hanging out with Chris, Sandra (supervisor) eventually noticed that I wasn't doing anything, so she sent me to wipe down the windows. And then I was scheduled to stock the restrooms at 10. I finished that in about 10 minutes and asked if I could leave. Nope, she wanted me to stay right up to 10:45, so she sent me and another girl to clean the conference room and office area. That place is kept spotlessly clean though, so there wasn't much to do. I took my time and when there was simply nothing left to do, I slipped out about 7 minutes early. I know, I'm a total rebel.
I picked up some pizza hut on the way home for me and Casey (we have no food in the house. Seriously, it's insane. I'm still really broke, but I have to get something tonight. At least I only have to feed myself this week, with Casey away. I can eat ramen noodles all week and be fine). When I got home, the lucky kid had just stumbled out of bed. We had some lunch and then I sent her to pack while I started working on laundry and some other things. We managed to get her packed and ready just in time, and then I took her to the mall for Dana's birthday party. They were going to do some surfing at the Adrenalina wave thingy and then head to her house for a sleepover.
Tonight I'm going to church with my parents, and then we're going out to dinner for my mom's birthday, and then back to their house for cake. I'd really rather just go to sleep for the night right now. I'm zonked. At least tomorrow after I get off work, pick Casey up and drop her off at Girl Scout camp, I'll have the rest of the day to myself. Of course by then it will be like 4 PM, but I'll take what I can get.
My eyes have been burning a little ever since work today. I bet I got cleaning stuff in there. Good one!
Back to balancing my checkbook. Yikes.
