(no subject)
So, just after I typed up that last post, I tried unplugging my modem and then plugging it back in, which worked. So yay for restored internet access. But by then it was too late to do much of anything, and we were busy with showers and dinner. And then we had a little birthday celebration for Willow. We had cake and gave her a cup of doggie ice cream and we sang to her. Ha. Then we headed to the church, where we discovered that yes, the animal blessing mass was Thursday. But I was not the only one who got it confused. There were 7 or 8 people there with their dogs and cats too. The priest actually came out and blessed them for us anyway, so that was nice. He asked Willow's name, blessed her and made a comment to me about her being heavy. LOL, I know Father... thanks for the reminder. He also asked Casey if she was going to let her drive home. Okay. LOL. When he was petting and blessing her, she was acting really jumpy and I was thinking "Whatever you do, don't bite the priest!". LOL
When we first arrived at the church, before we were sure if the mass was still happening or not, I sent Casey to walk around with Willow outside and I got to chat with my old friend Tanya on the phone for a bit. It was good catching up after all these years. She is going to see if she can get a babysitter and come out tonight. So we'll see. Plus we'd like to get together with the kids soon... maybe next weekend. Until then I'll be too busy getting ready for the garage sale, among other things.
Today has been too stressful. I'm looking forward to going out and blowing off some steam. But first, I'm going to enjoy a little bit of peace and quiet (Casey is already at my parents' house). Ahhhhh...
