day four: the crabbening
Things are going a little better here at Dumped Camp today--thanks so much to all of you who called and sent messages and left comments here this weekend. It helped me out a lot more than you guys know. Work was hard, but I got through it with lots of hugs from my supportive ladies, who made sure to whip out all of their "WTF?" and "it's HIS loss!" and "he's not worthy!" growls and didn't call me out on being a sniffly bitch for most of the day. Good gals, those. My excellent boss even gave me a sad-guy "aww, it'll get better" pat.
Not that I am making out to people like he's awful and crushed me--because, honestly, he was as gentle as he could be about it, left me with lots of compliments, and assured me that none of this was my fault and that I'm awesome. "Not you", he said. "I'm the one with the problems".
My problems now consist of a hellisly neglected apartment that I've barely been visiting, one very irritated cat who is not afraid to tell me all about it (LOUDLY AND CONSTANTLY), and an increasing Amazon.com download debt. Oh, this Liam Lynch infatuation is going to get me in trouble to be sure, but how can I resist the adorable geeks, I ask you?
Retail therapy continues on Thursday: I seriously need a haircut, and am getting that taken care of this week. If any of you have any suggestions for a new look (since most of you have seen me and my crazy hair in person), please mention them here--or even better, post a pic. I've had the same hairstyle for a couple of years now and am getting pretty sick of it. I don't see myself coloring it, since I am pretty pleased with my haircolor, but I could definitely use a new cut. I'll post pics tomorrow so that you can all see what we're working with here, and maybe you can help me out with a little greatness.
