Sinus migraine + finally being at home = a new post (I know) for you!
Thanks to a recent, pre-Thanksgiving tumble down some stairs I've been pretty MIA lately, and have spent the majority of my time split between artfully lifting heavy boxes at work while dealing with a clunky brace and a busted ankle, seeing a seriously jerky doctor, and holed up at my wonderful boyfriend's place being pampered and attended to and given high-quality painkillers. Man, that is one sweet guy that I date.
Three great things, and further proof that I am the luckiest round girl ever:
--Early Christmas presents. Like my new cordless home phone/answering machine setup that has customizable ringtones that are deliciously bloopy and videogame-y and handsets you can name** that my Heather would love because all of the light-up displays are the brightest, kickingest orange ever. Also: THIS. Eeeee. Can't...stop...playing. Y'all need anything stickered and/or laminated? 'Cause I can do that!
--Ramsey officially makes me laugh more than anyone else I've ever met. He makes this adorable "Hmmh? What's that?"monkey face that makes me giggle for full minutes at a time. We're talking major slayage here. Add the "ooh ooh" monkey noise and the head tilt along with it, and I'm completely done for--he gets an official pardon from any and whatever disagreement we might have been having at the time as I dissolve into a puddle of squee. You know that he totally abuses it. He is like a superhero of monkey emoting.
--Amazon.com has been having some insane deals lately for the Christmas shopping season, so I gave in and finally bought the Buffy the Vampire Slayer "Ultimate Collection" (40 discs, all seven seasons). After watching the first two seasons for the first time in years and years, I had totally forgotten how *good* this show was! I'm going to be sad when it hits the college years (maybe I'll like them better this time around?), but for now I'm enjoying the ride.
Sorry to have been gone for so long, guys. I'll try to be less boring and more prolific in the new year. ;) What have you all been up to?
