What did I do today?
Ohh, well, I spent most of the day in a headachy fog, sleeping, and then my wonderful boyfriend** came home and made me a delicious dinner and fresh-baked cookies while I put the finishing touches on my co-face-stabber and admin goddess Monique's Halloween present.
The present:
Not pictured is the ass-ton of adorable candy treats (gum-vomiting glow-in-the-dark plastic ghost, light-up gummi pumpkins, black and orange Kissables) that I found to go along with it. Will we be riding a wave of sugar-rushed goodness at work tomorrow? Oh, YOU BET YOUR ASS WE WILL. I'll be wearing the cat ears in that picture to work tomorrow, too, guaranteeing my position as cutest damn girl in the office. Well, next to Monique, who will be wearing her cat ears also, in clerk/admin solidarity.
(**Ramsey is so amazing that he not only came home on his lunch hour to check on me and bring us lunch, but he bought all of the groceries on his way home so that I could relax and doctor myself with Dr. Pepper and over-the-counter painkillers while he cooked. Cute, smart, and sweet? How lucky am I to have been dating him for three months now, right?)
I also spent this past week making Christmasy stuffs for a
holiday-themed Softies contest that is ending this week. The entries that I saw from the competition so far were pretty amazing, but I figured that I would throw my hat in the ring, nonetheless. Pics:
For the "Animals Dressed for the Holidays" category, a happy starfish in his Santa hats:

For the "Under the Tree" category, I made a plush paddle-ball, since I figured that no one else would make one:
For the "Deck the Halls" category, a candy-striped snake garland (the perfect eerie accent for any home!):
There are more "detail" pics of these over in my
"Craft" set on my Flickr account. I'll leave you with one more, my favorite from the whole shoot:
Get naked for the holidays, people! Happy Halloween!
