If I'm Going to Make 40 Books By The End of This Year (And Keep My Grades)...

Apr 05, 2009 20:36

Okay, this whole falling-behind-in-reading thing has really gone wayyy too far. You know it has when you count the number of pages that you have to catch up on, and it doesn't fit on one hand...when you're counting in thousands.

This is my "week off"--my first week without midterms and without papers since about the first month of the semester. My very, totally plausible-if-I-just-work-hard goals for this week are:

1) Finish Guermantes' Way, Proust
2) Finish Sodom and Gomorrah, Proust
3) Finish Confessions, Augustine
4) Finish Romance of the Rose, French dudes
5) Complete math assignment
6) Write Proust paper thesis and show to professor
7) Prepare and rehearse Psych presentation
8) If I have time:
    a) Finish Scythio's "Commentary on the Dream of Cicero"
    b) Finish Ovid's "Metamorphoses"
    c) Finish Boethius' "Consolation of Philosophy"
    d) Finish Media Studies readings
    e) Finish Psych chapter 15, 18
    f) Start The Captive and The Fugitive, Proust
    g) Start Inferno, Dante
    h) Start Purgatorio, Dante
    i) Start Paradiso, Dante

Okay, I can kind of see why I was despairing now...

Oh well--here goes?

goals, books
