Birthdays and Somesuch

Aug 13, 2008 00:52

First off, I just want to say...

Thank you so much for my friends who made my birthday one of the happiest ever. ^^ It was yesterday, and I still have this satisfied (if not completely "elated"--I'm so tired) feeling lingering from the hours spent out with them. Thank you. And yes, the no-presents rule still applies, so don't even think about it.

I also had the misfortune of watching the Twilight trailer today...and then another. And then an interview. And then a scene. And then another interview. And then IMDB'ing Robert Pattinson to see what the heck he had done before Harry Potter (which was nothing). It's a bit frustrating to realize that as much as the books irk me, I've become addicted to them--and can't wait even more to see the movie.

I have this weird fetish with vampires at the moment, too. But it'll pass (hopefully).

I have to say that I'm not too impressed with Kristen Stewart so far, unfortunately; I haven't seen her in action, but her on-air personality bugs me. Or maybe she's just that in-tune with my disdain for her character.

I also honestly read through New Moon just because I couldn't stand Bella pining for so long and wanted her to get back with him and shut up. ^^ Or is that just me?

Moving along quickly:
Next up on the list is...
-Getting my stuff packed for the move into my brand new, shiny apartment
-Going shopping tomorrow for camping foods/stuffs
-Going camping! (with friends for the weekend)
-Finishing Eclipse
-Going to my first OASES meeting ever
-Going on retreat for three days with the organization crew
-Finishing another chapter from Notebooks, Not Love Notes (I know! I have it up on my computer, dusting it off as we speak)
-Turning in my votes for the usako_mamoru challenge
-Writing a few more drabbles
-Finishing one or two other novels before school starts again
-Meeting up with friends (Natsumi & Co., Michelle & Co.) before the start of school
-Stop obsessing about the highly-addictive Twilight (or Edward Cullen, take your pick)

*Sigh.* A year closer to senility, and they can't even cut me some slack...

friends, twilight, goals
