From the Office of the Housekeeping Administration

Fellow Edenspherians--

It has come to Housekeeping's attention that there have been several reports of minor acts of thievery over the past several days. First off, I would like just like to say:

DO NOT PANIC!The increase in petty theft, as frustrating and disturberating as it may seem, is ( Read more... )

I would hope Housekeeping gets paid occasionally as well as thanked. Aside from that, somebody so clearly busy as yourself can't possibly be aware of the vices and habits of every single member of Housekeeping. I trust my men, but that doesn't mean they've not been guilty of a few things here and there.

Oh please, it takes more than money to inspire a group of people to clean up after everyone's cats, rats, dogs, owls and giant chickens. Do you think people actually want to scrub everyone's bathrooms?!

Also I know my people aren't stealing because if they were, they would not only answer to Justice dearest, but also to me and the paperwork for this latest stunt is so tremendously dull and boring that I would make them regret ever being so much as a twinkle in their Mummsy's eye!

Then I would of course, turn them over to you.

Good point. So what's the reason? Oh, silly me. Besides, of course, the natural necessity of needing money and the satisfaction of doing a good job's work.

[There is a pause here. Justice dearest? What the hell?]

Quite a threat indeed, although it doesn't quite answer my question.

Motivating leadership of course! Job satisfaction pales in comparison to a smile from a beautiful woman or a dashing young man. &hearts

[Good lord do you see how she talks about Fugue?]

You're so stubborn! Yes, I'm afraid I don't know like as an actual fact that it is not a housekeeper. But I just feel that it's not! A woman's intuition.

What is wrong with seeing pink?

I found one of my items to be missing as well, but I'm not sure what it was. It looked like a shiny box with a hinge on one side; I think this person is going after shiny things, and possibly food.

Hello, I'm Fred. One of the new people in Edensphere.

Nothing! Pink is wonderful!

But there are many fashionally challenged people who think differently, so that was more aimed towards those with a criminal mindset than you or I.

A shiny box. Hmm. Was it worth a lot? I'll add it to my list.

Hello Fred. Are you enjoying your new comforter? I helped pick them out!

The shiny box is a Zippo. burntorangesky October 1 2009, 01:21:44 UTC
Indeed it is.

I don't know; I found it in the Scavenger's Yard. I was going to see if I could open it, but then someone stole it.

I'm no longer in the Temporary Housing, but I'm sure that they are lovely comforters nonetheless.

I'm soo glad you agree!! Pink is the best color ever. &hearts

They stole something that wasn't even working? That's just strange.

Oh so you have a job? That's wonderful! Do you like it?

If you did what? Steal? I'd imagine the punishment around here is something horrrendable and backwards like cutting the thief's hands off and feeding them to the fish in the Aquarium. That or there's no punishment at all. Things tend to both both ways around here.

I suppose its because the people here tend to be sooo over dramatic. You should see the paperwork being generated for the loss of a few forks!

No way! They can't do that can they? No way.

Who would steal a stupid fork?

Are you sure? The Guards seem to take themselves so seriously and yet I never hear any mention of building a prison. I've come to the conclusion that it's best not to ask. I even once saw a child carrying a sword on wheels! Talk about intimidating!

Of course Housekeeping is not responsible. Who has been saying otherwise?

...Aurora? As in the Aurora who was here previously?

One of our maids was in tears because she was afraid that someone was going to start suspecting her. She cleans in Section 3. It makes me so mad!

Yes. I do not think anyone else has gone by that name.

If she is innocent, she should have no reason to be upset. An inspection would show she wasn't the culprit.

Oh! Well welcome back.

True but she needed to be reassured. A good leader always strives to make the people feel comforted.
