1. Maybe Sam needs to go over there and shut him up! Hahaha! /crappy advice 2. Okay... Hee! Lex Luthor! Wow. Now I gotta admit that made me giggle. I wish I had advice on finding a character's voice, especially Billy's. He really did get very little screen time in comparison to some of the others. Who are you pairing him with, may I ask?
(I'm taking a short story class right now and I'm having such a hard time with it! Meep!)
Oh, dear. Lee is a talker, isn't he? I've had the same problem. Hell, most of my guys end up really talky.
What I've had to learn to do--and I admit I don't do it well--is just let them run off at the mouth...in a first draft. You get a peek at what's going on in their heads and then you can deal with that mindset and emotion in the next draft without having to include all that sex-stalling dialogue (which was probably just the muse working things out anyway). Does that make sense?
(And I don't think KC's advice ^ is crappy, either. Maybe Sam is smart enough to know Lee doesn't need to talk so much (because, since it's Lee, I'm guessing it's probably something emo).)
But Billy sounding like Lex Luthor? I admit I have no idea what to do with that, LOL. :)
1. Lee talks until he is distracted. He's a big fan of UST and violent sex.
2. Billy isn't grandiose, and his language skills are top notch. Instill a bit of screw ups (read: foot in mouth) and and over simplification. Also, he likes to make smart remarks when the character he is talking about has left.

2. Jimmy Olsen is a closet perv, and is usually too busy taking pornographic shots of Superman. Who do you think runs that site: superbulge.com?
