I voted in today's recall election on the way home. I was voter 1312. The total number of registered voters (according to the city's website) was 1433.

President Obama used the word "Forward" in a campaign ad and the bloggers went nuts about its socialist meaning. Republican governor Scott Walker is fighting a recall election and is running ads using the word "Forward". Anyone think that there will be any complaints about socialism for these ads?

It doesn't seem to have reduced the number of ads etc.

As everyone doesn't know, the Presidential (and Vice Presidential) election is a multistage process. On November 4th, the voters chose the Presidential electors. It appears that the Supreme Court will let Indiana enforce its voter identification law. If this happens the problems this will cause will fall on the older, poorer, rural, and disabled voter pool ( Read more... )

Wisconsin appears to have a budget after about three and a half months of political posturing. I'm not sure if I trust the various groups to keep their word on this. I'll believe it when I see it.

Tammy Baldwin (my representative) has signed on to HR 333, the resolution to impeach Cheney.  How many more will it take before we get hearings?

I see that I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby has been assigned a prisoner number.  How long (if at all) will he be locked up  before his lawyer offers Bush a "deal"?  "Pardon my client or he spills his guts to the special prosecutor."
