This makes Claudia put her head in her hands,--Tell me how the kid isn't able to pick up such obvious signs of annoyance? There's no fucking way! They really should've just changed the club and made a point of saying they only babysit for Stepfords instead of normal kids that have accidents, spill things, etc ( ... )

This makes Claudia think that Ashley and Unholy Hosebeast would get along and NO! DON’T EVEN FUCKING THINK OF THOSE TWATS RIGHT NOW! ENJOY YOUR FUCKING FREEDOM!!!--Ashley was probably picking up Dawn's bitchiness on her bitch radar the second she first saw her. She knows to stay the hell away from her ( ... )

Claudia really doesn't realize the power she holds in her hands imo. Think of the changes that would have to be made if Claudia opened the door and told them all to get out and don't come back. They'd have to tie up a main phone line or somebody else would have to get a separate phone line, fliers would have to be changed, clients notified, etc.

She really doesn't, does she? I always wish she would for once when she worried about getting the Look from Kristy to realize how much power she had? When Kristy's giving her the Look why not fire back with telling Kristy to find a new place for the club. How does she never think of that? Not even when she's mad she never tells them to get out of her room. She let's them have their meetings, use her phone and shares her food with them even being nice enough to get crackers for Stacey and Dawn out of her own pocket. It would have made for a very good plot.

I really would've loved to have seen that happen. Kristy goes over the line so many times and it would be a nice way of showing Claudia really is the one in control of so much of the club. Might knock her down a few pegs if it had happened once or twice.

She can have friends outside of the club AND still be friends with the girls in the club. =it kills me that Ann never seemed to realize that.

Think of the changes that would have to be made if Claudia opened the door and told them all to get out and don't come back-It would be the end of the club. No one else would put up with it.

And I somehow doubt it was confusion worries. "Oh, we don't want the readers to be confused about so and so friend being in the club when they're not in the club at all." The back cover takes care of those worries.

I still stick by my theory that the writers had some friendships that gave them a very distorted view of how friends act/what friendship means, etc. But I also want to toss this theory out. Ever have a friend that cuts back hanging out with you because they've got a boyfriend/girlfriend and they're spending all their time with that person? So yeah, my mind goes in that direction. "I've got a bunch of girlfriends now and I just can't hang out with the rest of you anymore."

I realize it's still disturbing no matter what the explanation is--controlling and abusive shouldn't have a normal label stamped on it.

Linny = Leonard and Hannie = Hannah.=I honestly don't remember if they ever said. And I always associated Archie with Archie comics.

I'm not into drama and bullshit. I wasn't even that way when I was younger. I wanted everything to go smoothly instead of life being like a damn soap opera or something like that. Drama just isn't my thing. So if you've got your mind on doing something else and you've got a "friend" nagging you/guilt tripping you into doing something you don't want to do, it just really pisses you off. I speak from experience because I know how pissed off I get.=I'm at the point in my life, I try to stay away from petty drama, because Fuck it...I'm too old to be dealing with HS BULLSHIT! These books are really pissing me off to even read these days; because some just put in a bad place.

True. And sometimes I'd even go so far as to label it junior high bullshit.

and they're freaking out because their best friends second cousin (whom they've never even met, spoke of, etc) got into a car accident and broke their arm. Get over it. It's fine to feel badly about it, but since you've never met them, never known them at all, never spoke with them and have never mentioned them before IN YOUR LIIIIIFE quit acting like it's making YOUR life turn upside down-I really hate when people have to make other people's sadness, depression, bad day, what have you... ALL ABOUT THEM! IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU, IT'S MY PERSONAL BULLSHIT! QUIT CO-OPING IT AND MAKING IT YOURS ( ... )
