the phone rings AGAIN and claudia shouts at it to "GO AWAY!" before answering the damned thing, maybe she should start screaming that AFTER answering the phone.

Why not disconnect the phone for a couple days? They'll stop calling if they think the number is no longer any good.

abby rubs a whole salt lick into kristy's wound afterward, '"great game!" abby put her arm around me as we packed up to leave. "don't worry. i'll let you win next time."' she's smart enough to run off. kristy is about to chase her

Abby, I temporary love you for beating Kristy at the game and for pissing Kristy off by being a better president. Its too bad she doesn't keep this up. Its awesome to see Kristy losing.

'monopoly?
the word was throbbing in my mind, like a blinking neon light. the BSC had been many things to me. a club. a business. a fun time. a learning experience. but a monopoly? i had never thought of that. our goal was to be good sitters, not to be the only sitters in town.'

Bullshit. Kristy wanted that damn monopoly. She flipped out every time the clients hired someone else. It wouldn't surprise me if she did put out hits on clients for doing that.

so cokie drags the childrens off, who apparently look like 'captured stray puppies on the way to the pound'. d'aw. poor childrens. being babysat by cokie MUST be bad if they prefer kristy's bullshit and bossiness. either that, or kristy is just hallucinating right now.

I'm going with hallucinating. They had the same look Charlotte has every time they force her to be center of attention, or Jenny to play outside. And every other kid. Not only is it no different the forcing them into their millions of events. The BSC constantly drag their charge over to where another member is sitting so they can hang out with their friends. Its never because the kids want to go over.

stacey loves sales

Is this normal for Stacey? She doesn't strike me as someone who follows sales. Or notices prices at all.

I think Stacey mentioned bargain hunting in one book, but I was shocked that time as well. I thought it was one of those character traits that came out of nowhere, like when Stacey was apparently a huge movie buff in Stacey's Movie. I personally think Stacey picked up her shopping habits from her mom and spends a bunch of money all the time.

i think the same thing. she seems like the type that would just be blowing tons of money like it's going out of style.

"Bullshit. Kristy wanted that damn monopoly. She flipped out every time the clients hired someone else. It wouldn't surprise me if she did put out hits on clients for doing that."
