They've got a strange obsession for my automatic weapon

OH MY GOD FLASHPOINT. We had the EXTREME pleasure of watching this courtesy of sdwolfpup and her big-ass HDTV, and DAMN. That was AWESOME. As was the company in general, as was the fact that as soon as the show started, zabira and mrs_laugh_track and I squished ourselves as close together as possible and proceeded to DIE TOGETHER REPEATEDLY for the next hour or so ( Read more... )

How can you NOT be? He was SO FUCKING HOT! And they SO CLEARLY wanted us to THINK A LOT ABOUT THAT!

I was telling SDW before I left--I was unsure of how Hugh was going to be presented in this show, since he's not exactly conventionally good-looking, and, y'know, he's in his mid-forties, etc.. So while obviously WE are aware of his hotness, I wasn't sure how aware the show would be.

Um. I THINK THEY'RE AWARE. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Gee, YOU THINK? I mean the STRIPPING and the lingering on his beautiful FACE were pretty subtle.

Uh. I may be replaying his smile over and over in my head. Like one does.

Blah blah blah carabiner pulling?

Brynn, do you know if someone is going to upload this? Cause we missed at least half of this in the Cities due to being under tornado warnings for the entire show. They forced us to watch stupid doppler radar so we missed the Gilbert and Sullivan and several other crucial Hugh moments and even the parts of the show that they graciously allowed us to see were marred by the weather crawly thing across the bottom of the screen.

But what we did see? OMG HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH! And the way the camera lingered on him? It's like please make icons, fangirls. And, like you, I totally get the no hair thing now. I'm all esplody from the hot.

Ohhh, NO! That is SO SAD! I'm sure it's going to be available in the usual places, so fret not, I think. :)

It's like please make icons, fangirls.

SERIOUSLY. As Sal said (more or less), "I've heard of making love to the camera, but this was pretty much the camera licking him up one side and down the other." Heeee. It's just a gorgeous show in general; I love the colors, all gold and grey.

That was AWESOME. Hugh looked sososososososososo pretty (I've always been a fan of the shaved head /odd) and Enrico was adorable and my mind went straight to WRONG places when he followed Ed into the bathroom. I was all 'COMFORT HUGH AND HIS MANPAIN. COMFORT HIM NOW. sexually'

Kowalski made me laugh like a drain but then I was very distracted by Hugh's legs so I got over it. Only then he was Blair as well and I was all DUDE way to crossover your crossovers.

And YES the new guy totally has manpain. He accidentally got his boyfriend killed? IDK. He had a PHOTOGRAPH.

And HUGH! And ENRICO! IN ONE PLACE!!!!111!eleventy!!!1

(lalala cello playing kid needs work lalala)

Okay, um, yeah. I was remarking to zabira the other day that this sounded like a pretty slashy setup (which is how we somehow ended up storyboarding a Keith Mars/Joe Dick fic, which, um, I BLAME Z), and this ep certainly did NOTHING to dissuade me from that analysis. Did you SEE the way Hugh looked at him when he left the bathroom? OH MY GOD. I seriously think I have a HOLE BURNED IN MY CHEST from the intensity of that stare. Dayum.

Yes! They crossed over their crossovers! I had not even THOUGHT of that! Hee. (Srsly, though, Ed/Kowalski AU, Y/MFY?)

And yes, we agreed that New Guy is clearly mourning his dead boyfriend, which may explain the doucheyness. But he is going to have to work REALLY hard before I'm okay with him hooking up with Jules, is all I'm saying.

HUGH! ENRICO! EEEEEEEEEEE!

Oh my god. See what Ande said about the thunderstorm warnings? This was a PROBLEM. My neighbors probably wondered if they were going to have to call the cops to diffuse the domestic situation of me shouting at the weather man. (Which, um... now that I think of it... they could call certain cops...)

Hugh! Muttering down the barrel of a gun! Get it right, Jules - Sierra One looks GREAT. That bit just after the shooting where he's pacing around on top of the roof? His walk is so distinct and so HUGH and I love it somuch.

Top billing! I'm wondering if there's going to be a House-like phenomenon here, where Americans go all hmmmmmm, who's this new guy? Where'd he come from? SO happy for him. Gah.

Also on a related note: when I first discovered the whole Hugh thing, I felt like I was flailing all alone in a corner... but that lasted about a day because then brynnmck hit me with 10 Reasons Hugh Rush Dillon is Cool. Since then I've done my best to sit at her lunch table every damn day. Glee! Better when shared! You do a damn good job of that ( ... )

America is free to discover Hugh as long as they understand that he is OURS! We saw him first! They are welcome to admire from a respectful distance.

HEE. It is weird to think about, that a lot of the Americans who are watching this show (I mean, if there even are any; I haven't looked at ratings or anything) probably have NO IDEA of Hugh's history. Which is just... WEIRD. Like Enrico Colantoni was saying in that interview the other day--"You were what? You did what?" Hee.

Hee! Not ten minutes ago Sig said, "We're so cool because we loved him first." :)

Man, that is MUSIC TO MY EARS! *bounces* If you need help finding Hugh-related stuff (a lot of it is not particularly easy to find), email me. :D

Hard Core Logo is an excellent place to start, though, and it used to be available here... I'm not sure if it's still working or not. But anyway. Like I said, if you want help, please feel free to email me!

EEEE! *beams* Well, here is my Hugh tag... there's a lot of random flailing, but I've also linked to various things over time, so that might be interesting for you (FYI, in case you need explanation: up until about five years ago, Hugh was the lead singer/front-man for a band called the Headstones, and I'm quite obsessed with them, as well, so there's a lot of Headstones stuff under that tag, too). And I've got a bunch of random clips streaming here. Hopefully that will be a start! :)

ETA: and if you email me at brynnmck [at] gmail, I may be able to point you toward some other stuff...
