More of that fanfic meme...

14 - Ratings - how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?

I mainly write G up to R, though I've written NC17 reasonably often. I started doing it for the kink meme, posted anonymously, which tells you something about my comfort levels. But in fact, I get bored writing just porn, so I'm happy to stick to where I fit and go higher if it's warranted for a particular story or situation.

15 - Warnings - What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?

I don't do a lot of warnings. Death, but only because people get upset about it and request that. But more importantly rape or graphic violence, which are clear possible triggers for people with past trauma. I do sometimes warn for fluff, and it's not really meant to be funny: some people do loathe that type of fic.

16 - Summaries - Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?

Hate to write them, and I only do it for a small number of fics. That said, I know when you find a long list of titles at AO3 having some kind of summary helps, and I do read other people's. So I try when I'm uploading, but it still tends to be a line or two only. Plus, summaries for drabbles and ficlets are never going to happen.

17 - Titles - Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?

I'm not great at titles, but I don't stress about them too much, especially not for short fic where something generic will do nicely. My current verse is virtually all titled from the Anglican marriage service, which is cheating, but helps.
