I just heard about an archaelogical study saying that Neolithic women had a sense a fashion and a willingness to appear physically attractive very similar to modern women. This study was based on figurines they found in Serbia. These figurines contradicted the modern, stereotypical portrayal of hunched over, ugly cavemen wearing raggedy furs. Instead these figurines were of attractive women wearing short skirts, revealing tops, and stylish bracelets. I guess what this means is that Wilma Flintstone and Raquel Welch from
One Million Years B.C. we're actually historically accurate.
