I have just seen Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for the first time and quite like it. I would have loved it as a child but even now it's nice. And great work by the Sherman Brothers.
The week with my parents went quite well. Apart from Birmingham being a really chaotic, mad English city with the traffic and everything.... My mum can't handle the wheelchair but it's one she has to steer herself. Awkward and troublesome. However my mum loved Stratford (this was my favourite day at Stratford so far - finally went to the Butterfly Farm). And my Dad absolutely fell for the Severn Valley Railway. I am happily surprised by my patience :)
Well, when we got off the steam train in this little English village, I saw this woman. Pretty, old and obviously happy, walking her dog in her Wellington boots. THAT'S who I long to be and how I wanna live. Long way to go.
You know, it's just that if I go back to Germany soonish, I won't be able to come back and get all that. Won't work. Oh well, I'll give it til the end of the year and see how things work out.
I just ordered a 16 GB usb memory drive and Davina's fitness DVD instead of paying 50 Pounds/month for a gym membership. Let's see how it goes and if it works I might get a nice dress and attend the Solicitors' christmas party. Yeah, it's early but I finally booked a return flight home for christmas and could go there.
Oh, I've got a book recommendation: Happyslapped by a Jellyfish written by Karl Plikington!! I wet myself when I read it :P
