So, Newsweek Magazine has recently compared Indiana Jones' bout with an atomic bomb to an infamous episode of Happy Days--the one where Fonzie waterskis over a shark. Yes, the episode coined the phrase, "jumping the shark", often used to indicate a moment when a franchise hits an unredeemable level of absurdity.
Of course I have my opinions about this; the Indy franchise was never about believability. But the issue I have is more to do with the fact that Newsweek has the audacity to argue for believability and credibility while having this on the cover:
