Last night juldea went out of her way to ask me how I felt about the "new" TSA scanning regulations. The short answer is that I've been living with the backscatter and millimeter wave machines for months now, and they do annoy me, but not for the reasons they seem to be annoying everybody else.

Wonderful weekend. Had a great and mighty LAN Party at my apartment, and many came and many had fun. There were considerably less technical problems than we've had in years past, although space became an issue at a few points. Today I flew into Minneapolis/St. Paul. Departing the airport, I turned on the GPS on my Droid to take me to my hotel, the Courtyard Roseville. About halfway there, I got the 15% Battery Warning off my phone, but with some very small percentage battery life left, it got me to the hotel. This morning was exciting. I thought my flight was leaving at 1200 or so, so I shared a taxi to the airport with my coworker at 0745. I discovered this morning that my flight left at 0955. So this morning I was in my hotel room until a bit past 1100, when I walked up to the local Subways to get lunch. Walking out the hotel door,though, I was surprised by what I found. ELO just came down. Tomorrow at 0355 I lift for Nevada, and stay there for 8 days. Figures this happens the day before my winter Battleforce campaign is supposed to start. Fortunately, I have compotent and well-versed players, and not much should happen the first week. Anybody going to be in Reno this weekend?
