Moving was a fiasco, but it gone done. Special thanks to
taranhero, Rory, Jeremiah,
mariaklob, and
ultimatepsi for significant day-of moving help. I couldn't have done it without you. Also thanks to
acousticshadow2 and
_dragonwolf_ for pre- and post-move assistance. There are still a number of things that need to happen, but I can't be bothered with them right now. I'm in Germany.
I got a plane yesterday in Boston and traveled across the Atlantic. My first time on Lufthansa. Due to the ash issues over Spain and southern Europe, our flight was delayed an hour, and had to fly north to nearly 70 N in order to avoid the cloud. The result was a 2-hour late arrival, and a missed connection (and, in fact, the next flight to our target location), but it did mean I got to see Arctic Day at midnight, which was very cool. Also, the Germans (or at least Lufthansa) have decide the fruit that goes best with flight is pineapple. I have to agree.
Today was a short day, only five hours at the site, but we'll make it up when we're more lucid.
