[PUBLIC] Games Without An Interface

May 18, 2010 12:18

So one thing that I fairly frequently do on flights or in airports without Internet connectivity or at other times I am otherwise in enforced idleness, is I write video games. I don't write full, playable games, but I tend to patch together a very simple interface, and write the mechanics of the game, test them, get them working, compile the whole stack of objects, rules, and the like into a .NET library, and then my flight arrives, or the weekend ends, or some other fool thing happens and the library sits idle on my hard disk, never to be completed. I was wondering if my opposite number was somewhere out there -- somebody who builds interfaces for game engines that never get written?

video games, public, game development
